Certifications
Quilts of Denmark A/S is known worldwide for our high quality. This applies to both the materials our products are made of and the way we treat them.
Sleep well and safely
We ensure the health and quality of our products—and that the animals have been treated ethically.
At Quilts of Denmark, we work with various independent organizations to guarantee the health and quality of our products, as well as the ethical treatment of animals. That’s why our duvets and pillows carry several certifications and labels, which serve as a guarantee that they comply with all regulations.
We are, among other things, a member of the European Down & Feather Association (EDFA). EDFA is the European organization responsible for developing guidelines and standards to ensure that the product qualities promised to customers are actually delivered.

Downafresh® greenLine
Duvets and pillows with natural filling can be marked with the Downafresh® greenLine label.
Down and feathers are a pure natural material that come from a more gentle production process. The Downafresh® greenLine trademark indicates that the filling in products bearing this label has been treated according to environmental criteria.
What does that mean?
Down and feathers are natural products. Due to their inherent properties, they offer outstanding thermal insulation and are ideal as filling in duvets and pillows. They keep the sleeper warm with very little weight.
Down and feathers are not industrially manufactured—they are pure natural materials that do not harm the environment and are easily recyclable. They are thoroughly washed with water and dried at temperatures of at least 100°C to meet the hygiene requirements defined in European standard EN 12935.
During the processing of these feathers and down, only cleaning agents are used that preserve the natural qualities of the filling. Manufacturers using Downafresh® greenLine are required to have their products regularly tested by an independent laboratory to ensure that hygiene and cleanliness standards are met—and that environmental considerations are upheld.www.downafresh.com
