Some additional tips

Follow these guidelines to keep your duvet and pillow feeling “new” and fresh for many years:

  1. Let your duvet and pillow breathe – When you get out of bed in the morning, there’s still moisture in both your duvet and pillow. Allow them to “air out” before making the bed or putting on a bedspread.
  2. Shake and rotate regularly – Turn your duvet at least once a week (head to foot). Shake it from different angles to keep the filling evenly distributed.
  3. Air them out regularly – Air your duvet and pillow outdoors frequently, but always in the shade. Never vacuum or beat them.
  4. Wash with care – Wash only one duvet (140×200/220 cm) or two pillows at a time. Use a washing machine with at least 7 kg capacity and a gentle cycle with high water level and low drum rotation. Most of our duvets can be washed at 60°C, but always follow the instructions on the care label. Use a down detergent without enzymes and never use fabric softener—it can damage the down.
Note: Double duvets should be washed at a professional laundry.
  5. Spot clean if needed – Remove stains using a well-wrung sponge instead of washing the entire duvet or pillow.
  6. Spin gently – After washing, use the gentlest spin cycle possible for both duvet and pillow.
  7. Dry thoroughly – Tumble dry your duvet and pillow immediately after washing, along with a couple of tennis balls. Otherwise, the down will gather in lumps and develop mold. Dry at approx. 60°C for 3–5 hours, depending on your dryer’s capacity. Make sure they are completely dry, even the fine down inside. They should not feel damp in any way—and avoid direct sunlight.

Extra tips

WEIGH-WASH-DRY-WEIGH

Please weigh the duvet and pillow BEFORE washing and drying. Once you’ve washed and dried them, weigh them again. If they weigh TOO MUCH, the duvet or pillow is not completely dry inside and therefore needs to be dried a little longer.
