Duvets and pillows can last for many years—but that requires proper care. By following these care instructions, you can extend the life of your duvet, pillow, and bedding.
Down products
Enzyme-free detergent is recommended. Do not use fabric softener.

Some simple tips
With these tips, you can keep your duvet and pillow “like new” and fresh for many years:
- Let your duvet and pillow breathe – When you wake up in the morning, there is still moisture left in both your duvet and pillow. Let them “steam off” before you make the bed and, if desired, put the bedspread on.
- Shake and turn regularly – Turn the duvet at least once a week (head end to foot end). Shake the duvet from different sides so the filling is distributed evenly.
- Air regularly – Air your duvet and pillow often outside in the shade—you must never vacuum or beat them.
- Wash with care – Wash only one duvet (140×200/220 cm) or two pillows at a time. Use a washing machine with at least 7 kg capacity and a gentle cycle with a high water level and low drum rotation. Most of our duvets can be washed at 60°C, but always follow the care label on the product. Use down detergent WITHOUT enzymes, and NEVER use fabric softener, as it can damage the down. Note: Double duvets should be washed at a suitable laundry.
- Spot clean if necessary – Remove stains with a tightly wrung-out sponge instead of washing the entire duvet or pillow.
- Spin gently – Spin the duvet and pillow after washing. Choose the most gentle spin cycle.
- Dry thoroughly – Dry both duvet and pillow in the tumble dryer with a couple of tennis balls, directly after washing—otherwise the down will clump together, and mould can form. Dry them at approx. 60°C for 3–5 hours, depending on the dryer’s capacity. Make sure the duvet and pillow are completely dry, including the fine down inside. They must not feel damp in any way—and they cannot tolerate direct sunlight.

Do a check weigh-in of your duvet and pillow BEFORE washing and drying.
Once you have washed and dried them, weigh them again. If they weigh TOO MUCH, the duvet or pillow is not completely dry inside and therefore needs to be dried a little longer.
